Monday Sep 12, 2011
Topic: Aldosterone and Epithelial Na+ Channels Deadline for Submission: July 1, 2012 The American Journal of Physiology: Renal Physiology is seeking manuscripts to be submitted specifically related to the biology of epithelial Na+ channels (ENaCs) and the actions of the hormone aldosterone. This call for papers is in conjunction with the APS-sponsored 7th International Symposium on Aldosterone and the ENaC/Degenerin Family of Ion Channels, which will be held on September 18-22, 2011. Submitted papers should address the central themes of ENaC, mineralocorticoid receptors and aldosterone signaling. Papers may focus on structure and regulation in normal and pathophysiologic states, or therapeutic interventions. All papers will receive expedited review. Authors should indicate in their letter to the editor and in the online submission form under "Manuscript Type" that the submitted manuscript is in response to a Special Call for Papers. Accepted manuscripts will be published under a distinct heading and will receive special attention and handling. Only those papers not requiring extensive revision will be published under this call. If you currently have a manuscript on this topic that has already been submitted and would like it to be included in this Special Call, please contact Dr. Thomas Kleyman, Editor in Chief via e-mail at ajprenal@emory.edu.
